Last weekend I was in Ohio for my Big’s wedding. It was such a great time to escape to Ohio for a few days- more on that later.
The weekend before I was in SoHo visiting the Birchbox brick and mortar store that had just opened its doors the week before. If you know me you know I love my Birchbox! Here’s my take on the store.
I came in off the Subway from across the street and was the most excited to see the store in the flesh! There are 4 main components to the Birchbox store: Shop: Find the latest and greatest beauty and grooming finds. B.Y.O.B.: Choose 5 samples and build your own Birchbox for $15. The Try Bar: Test-drive new beauty trends on the spot! Beauty Services: Book a hair or makeup touch-up, polish change, or sign up for a class.
When you walk in there was products to your left and right and then the register (which you can see in the above photo).
Next up is a wall of products that BirchBox has featured in their monthly subscription products as well as online.
Next up is the ‘Try Bar’ which is opposite of the product wall. You are able to test out the products you can find in subscription boxes and on the product wall.
Downstairs you will find Birchbox Man products as well as more cute items to shop for! You will also find the states for the hair, makeup, and nail appointments you can book!
The services Birchbox offers: Hair: $30 for a 30-Minute Hairstyle like the Birchbox Braid, Bun, Beach Waves, Glamour Wave, or a Crown Braid. Makeup: $30 for a 30-Minute Makeup Application. Pick your favorite look and the makeup artists will recreate it just for you. Nails (aka my favorite service offered and something I need to do STAT): Mani Heaven Polish Change, Polish Change + Accent Nail Art, Polish Change + Full Nail (!!!) Art Beauty Workshop Classes: Classes are FREE for Birchbox subscribers and $30 for non-subscribers.
My main reasoning of heading to the store was to build a Birchbox for the bride and groom of the wedding I was attending the next weekend. Sadly, you can not ‘build’ a Birchbox Man box but that’s OK! I was excited to build a box for my Big. I looked at every product and decided on the following for her:
Here’s the Birchbox Man box:
PS: After my visit I went to the Chobani SoHo and fell in LOVE! I got the Peanut Butter + Jelly and it was amazing- HIGHLY recommend stopping by if you are in the area!
