This past Thursday I was able to attend the Key to the Cure Cocktail Soiree & Fundraiser at Saks Fifth Avenue, Beachwood Place. An event where you can eat, drink, shop, and help out a local organization that is making local women healthier every day is a GREAT event in my opinion. I was lucky enough to win tickets from Kate at Sugar and Chiffon.
This event is to help raise money and awareness for women’s cancers. Saks Fifth Avenue, Beachwood is collaborating with Cleveland Clinic to host the Key to the Cure Cocktail Soiree & Fundraiser This event was hosted by Jason Nicholas from News Channel 5.
The cocktail party was wonderful- featuring complimentary spa and beauty treatments, live music, fall trends, and food and drinks from some of Cleveland’s best. There was an AMAZING raffle, items included a $3000 designer handbag, a $1000 Saks shopping spree, two sets of round-trip plane tickets for two, and more. Sadly, I didn’t win but I know my money went to a great cause!
Billy Cundiff, placekicker for the Cleveland Browns, and his wife, Nicole, were there to speak about their foundation, Colleen’s Dream. Colleen’s Dream Foundation started in 2012 and supports research for early detection and improved treatment for ovarian cancer. Colleen is Nicole’s mother who sadly passed. Colleen’s Dream Foundation’s signature fall fundraiser, Kicking For The Dream, was created by Billy as a way to bring together kickers, punters, and long snappers in the fight against ovarian cancer.
I got to bring my friend Katie along and we had a great time!
