I wanted to make apple pie one day but changed my mind and went with apple pie bites instead. They are pretty easy to make especially if you know how to make apple pie (because it’s the same thing). These are 3 Points Plus value a piece and this particular recipe makes 24 apple pie bites.

  • 1 1/4 pounds fresh unpeeled Gala apples
  • 1 1/4 pounds Granny Smith apples
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

  • 2 Ready to Bake Pie crusts
  • 1 egg white

Preheat oven to 425*. Slice your choice of apples in to 1/4 in pieces. I use an apple slicer and then peel the skin off because I do like to keep some skin on the apples. In a large bowl gently mix filling ingredients.PicMonkey CollageUse a rolling pin to make the pie crusts about an 1/8 in thick. Take a biscuit cutter (or a glass like I used) and make you mini pie crusts. Place a small spoon full of the filling on the mini pie crusts- make sure to just place it on half of the crust because you will need to pull half of the crust over and pinch with a fork.
